Welcome to Empowering Eats NPO. By using our website (https://empoweringeats.org.za) or making a financial contribution to our organization, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service.

1. Allocation & Use of Funds

  • Targeted Initiative Allocation: All donations received are allocated specifically to the designated campaign, initiative, or feeding program selected by the donor at the time of contribution.

  • Beneficiary Direct Aid: Empowering Eats guarantees that 100% of public and corporate contributions designated for relief initiatives are utilized directly for the beneficiaries and operational deployment as advertised.

  • Reallocation Rights: If a specific campaign becomes fully funded or operational constraints prevent execution, remaining funds will be directed to an equivalent local hunger relief initiative under the Empowering Eats umbrella.

2. Payment Gateway & Financial Queries

  • Third-Party Processing: All online card payments, Instant EFTs, and recurring electronic transactions on our platform are processed securely by PayFast (a registered South African payment gateway).

  • Payment Security: Empowering Eats does not store or process complete credit card details or private banking credentials on its servers.

  • Financial Queries & Disputes: Any billing errors, payment processing failures, transaction holds, or gateway-related financial queries must be directed to PayFast customer support via their official channels, referencing your transaction ID.

3. Monthly Recurring Donations

  • Fixed Amount & Commitment: When opting into a monthly donation plan, you authorize recurring debits for the exact numerical amount selected at checkout.

  • Term Duration: Monthly recurring donations are set for a standard fixed period of 12 months from the date of initial sign-up.

  • Voluntary Renewal: At the conclusion of the 12-month period, your subscription will not auto-renew into an indefinite contract without consent; donors may voluntarily choose to extend or renew their monthly commitment for a new cycle.

  • Cancellation: Donors reserve the right to modify or cancel their recurring contribution schedule prior to the end of the 12-month term by notifying PayFast or accessing the Subscription Dashboard.

4. Refunds & Tax Receipts

  • Refund Policy: Due to the immediate allocation of funds toward raw food procurement and emergency community relief, donations are generally non-refundable once processed through PayFast.

  • Section 18A Tax Certificates: Donors requiring a South African Section 18A tax deduction certificate must provide valid proof of donation, full registered name/entity name, and tax reference number to info@empoweringeats.org.za.
