We then thought, why stop there, why only during Ramadan? We then decided to increase our initiative to every week. Each Thursday, we visit impoverished areas to hand out food parcels and warm meals to hungry community members.

We further extended ourselves to hand out some sweeties during certain celebrations of the year, Islamic Holy days and now have also included Christmas.

This was hugely possible through sponsors and donors having given us the opportunity to pay for 25 pots of food and over 1000 party packets. We managed to feed over 6000 people during a 6-month period for 2023, every Thursday. Most of our feeding took place in Parkwood, Manenberg and Phumlani informal settlement.

On Christmas we managed to feed 650 people and handed out 400 party packets to kids & for Youth Day we handed out 1500 Hot Dogs to adults & youth in the Parkwood community.

Our intention is to extend our reach to other areas as there are many impoverished communities out there. We also do have plans to reach out to businesses to create employment through skills transfer workshops. As part of these future plans, we have in our plans to establish a premises where we can do daily feeds and possibly some workshops to empower communities with skills that will pave the way for an income.

We would also like to extend our Special Occasion Feeds - Holy Days, Public Holidays (Youth Day, Easter, etc) to other areas as well as other establishments serving the needy.
